reap v. 收获 (to get (something, such as a reward) as a result of something that you have done) / rēp /

• If we perform well on our SAT exams, we will reap the reward of access to a top university.

heap v. 堆积 (to put (something) in a large pile) / hip /

• The campers heaped the dry branches into a pile and poured kerosene on them in order to start a fire.

leap v.（话题、言论）跳跃 (to pass abruptly from one state or topic to another) / lēp /

• Our history teacher's lectures are a bit confusing as he tends to leap about rather than explain events in chronological order.

blandish / brandish / bland / brand / blend

blandish v.奉承，谄媚 (to coax with flattery) / ˈblændɪʃ /

• The salesman tried to blandish us with compliments, but we refused to be flattered into buying his product.
